Keith Green - Director of Bands
Keith Green - Director of Bands is in his 30th year of teaching, 15 at Beddingfield, attended East Carolina University and received his B.A. in Music Education from Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC. In addition to teaching at Beddingfield, he has been arranger, instructor and/or program consultant for the James Island Charter High School Band in Charleston, South Carolina from 1996 to 2016. Mr. Green is a skilled marching band arranger and has also served as a clinician and arranger for bands in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.
Mr. Green’s bands have received many awards and consistently received excellent and superior ratings in marching and concert performance. In 2006 he was conductor and clinician for the NCBA Eastern District 9-10 All-District Band. Under his direction the Beddingfield High School Band has won many awards including Grand Champions at the 2009 Festa-val Music festival in Williamsburg, VA and the 2011 OrlandoFest Music Festival in Orlando, Florida.
Mr. Green is a member of Kappa Kappa Phi Honorary Band Fraternity, the North Carolina Music Educators Association, North Carolina Bandmasters Association Eastern District and Tar River Community Band in Greenville, NC.
